NSS wing of thecollege organized “Swachhta Pakhwara’ keeping in mind day wise action plan asrecommended by Ministry of HRD, India. This fortnight long programme kickstarted with ‘Cleaniliness drive’ where all the students cleaned the collegecampus diligently under the righteous stewardship of the Principal, Dr. MonikaDua. NSS volunteers and the teachers enthusiastically conducted a tree plantationdrive and planted saplings in and around the college campus, raising theslogans like ‘Clean India, Green India’ Students very ardently participated increative writing and poster making competitions on the topic-‘Innovative waysfor spreading the message of hygiene’. Elocution contest on the theme ‘Healthand hygiene is the real wealth’ & ‘Role of teachers and parents inmaintenance of health in the present scenario’ was also organized to spread theawareness of hygiene among the students. The Principal, Dr. Monika Duacongratulated all the NSS volunteers and the programme officer, Ms. Manjit Kaurfor the successful completion of the ‘Swachhta Pakhwara’ programme andmotivated them to keep their surroundings clean, green and beautiful.
