College of Education, Ludhiana in collaboration with DistrictBureau of Employment & Enterprises (DBEE), Ludhiana conducted an Online CareerTalk to acquaint all the students with the new job opportunities offered byDBEE, Ludhiana. The Online talk began with the recital of the Gayatri Mantra. PrincipalDr. Monika Dua formally welcomed the Resource Person Dr. Nidhi Singhi, Career Counselor,DBEE, Ludhiana and Dr. Prem Kumar, Secretary, College Managing Committee.Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Prem Kumar emphasized the dire need of skilledyouth in the present times. He stressed that would be teachers ought to beequipped with requisite employability skills to ensure their placement in theworld of work.  Resource Person of theday, Dr. Nidhi Singhi, under the able guidance of ADC Sh. Sandeep Kumar,Ludhiana gave useful tips & shared the online resources for preparation ofvarious entrance exams. She very elaborately deliberated on importance ofCommunication, Employability, Pedagogical Skills, Content & Technological Knowledgefor a teacher and updated students with the latest government initiatives &important helpline numbers. Furthermore, students were  guided to register at www.pgrkam.com portal, 7^thState Level Mega Job Fair going to be held from April 22- 30, 2021 by Deptt. ofEmployment Generation, Skill Development & Training, Punjab. The OnlineTalk was followed by Interactive question answer session. Dr. Jasdeep Kaur,Incharge of the Placement Cell of the college thanked the resource person forsharing valuable information regarding job avenues with the pupil teachers.
