NSS wing of BCM College of Educationorganized 8th NSS camp on the theme ‘Youth for Better India’. S. ParmjitSingh Ji, Principal Govt. High School, Khassi Kalan graced the occasion as ChiefGuest. Sh. D.P. GuleriaJi, Principal, B.C.M. Sen. Sec School, Chandigarh Road,Ludhiana, Sh. Rakesh Kumar, Mathematics teacher, Govt. High School, KhasiKalanwereamong the dignitaries present to charm the function. Principal, Dr. MonikaDua,welcomed the guests and applauded the efforts of NSS officers of thecollege, Ms. Manjit Kaur and Ms. ShilpaKaur and all the NSS volunteers whozealously participated in various activities organized during the camp. NSS volunteerspresenteda beautiful cultural programme viz. songs, group dance, poems toentertain one and all. The programme officer also acquainted the audiences withthe glimpses of NSS Camp 2018. During the seven day long camp, studentsactively organized Plantation and Cleanliness Drive at Govt. High School, KhasiKalan, visited ‘Neki Ki Dukan’ (an initiative ofLudhiana-based NGO 'Ek Noor Sewa Kendra' that provides free medical treatmentto needy patients), served the patients at Civil Hospital, Ludhiana and leda Rally on the theme ‘BetiBachaoBetiPadhao’. Speaking on the occasion, S.Parmjit Singh Jimotivated and inspired the students by saying that Teachershave the prime responsibility in building the character of students so they oughtto have a healthy attitude &rich values. Sh. D.P. GuleriaJi proposed a voteof thanks and inspired the would be teachers to ignitethe spirit of selfless service, passion, dedication for the nobel professionfor the positive transformation of the society.
