17th NSS Camp on the theme ‘Viksit Bharat and Drug Free Society’ was inaugurated with full zeal and zest on March 24, 2026. The occasion was graced by Dr. Prem Kumar Secretary College Managing Committee. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Prem Kumar eloquently underscored the profound significance of NSS camps, emphasizing the transformative values of discipline, empathy and social responsibility that they instill in participants. The Week long Camp commenced with Lamp Lighting Ceremony along with the recitation of the pious Gaytri Mantra. Mr. Lakshya mesmerised one and all with Ganesh Vandna followed by NSS song by Ms. Sakshi and Ms. Bhavneet. Agile NSS Volunteers put their best foot forward by showcasing PPTs, reciting poems, singing songs, dancing and sharing NSS history making the inaugural function a memorable one.
The Valedictory Function of the 17th NSS Camp, themed “Viksit Bharat and Drug-Free Society”, was held on March 30, 2026. The solemn occasion was graced by Mrs. Binita Jhanji, Vice Principal and Head of the Department of English, Govt. College Ludhiana East, and Dr. Prem Kumar, Secretary of the College Managing Committee. The concluding ceremony of the week-long camp commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, accompanied by the recital of the sacred Gayatri Mantra. Mr. Lakshay captivated the gathering with a devotional presentation of Ganesh Vandana. In her inspiring address, Mrs. Binita applauded NSS Volunteers and kindled the spirit of selfless service, urging the young BCMites to contribute meaningfully to the lives of those around them.The agile BCMites enlivened the atmosphere with their creative expressions—reciting poems, singing melodious songs, performing graceful dances and staging an Ad Mad Show along with a thought-provoking Nukkad Naatak. Ms. Jasneet shared her enriching experiences of the 17th NSS Camp, while Ms. Anmol presented an engaging audio-visual, adding vibrancy to the event. Addressing the audience, Dr. Prem Kumar exhorted the volunteers to embody the NSS motto “Not Me, But You” and dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to social service. He emphasized the relevance of NSS camps in nurturing life skills such as teamwork, fraternity, and empathy. Certificates were awarded to the winners of various competitions organized during the camp, acknowledging their talent and dedication. Principal Dr. Monika Dua extended warm congratulations to the NSS Programme Officers, Ms. Manjit Kaur and Dr. Amita Khosla, for their exemplary coordination and unwavering commitment in steering the 17th NSS Camp to resounding success.
