Admission to the B.Ed. course is subject based .At the time of admission each candidate shall opt for two teaching subjects. A candidate can opt for only those teaching subject, which he/she has studied at graduation/postgraduation level. |

B.Sc.(Home Science ) Graduates may opt two Teaching Subjects. One is teaching of home science and other shall be out of the subjects studied by the candidates at the B.Sc level |

B.Sc.(Hons. School)/ B.Sc.(Medical) Graduates shall opt for two teaching subjects out of the following : |
(a) Teaching of Life Science |
(b) Teaching of Science/Teaching of Physical Science . |
(c) Teaching of any of the languages i.e. English,Hindi,Punjabi and Sanskrit. |

B.Sc. (Hons. School)/B.Sc.(Non-Medical) Graduates shall opt for two teaching subjects out of the following. |
(a) Teaching of Science/Physical Science/Computer Science |
(b) Teaching of Mathematics. |
(c) Teaching of any of the languages i.e. English,Hindi,Punjabi and Sanskrit. |

Arts Graduates may opt for any two teaching subjects keeping one each of the following (a) & (b): |
(a) Teaching of Social Studies / Fine Arts/Music/Physical Education /Home Science /Economics. |
(b) Teaching of any of the languages i.e. English,Hindi,Punjabi and Sanskrit. |

Teaching of Mathmatics with teaching of economics or English,Hindi,Punjabi and Sanskrit. |
Note: Both Subjects selected shall be the same as offered at graduate level/postgraduate level. |
In the above said subject combination atleast one subject should be major which the candidate has studied for 3 years at graduate level/at Master level for two years, other subject may minor which the candidate has studied for atleast one year at graduate level. |
